The number of international hotel chains operating in Uzbekistan rose by 27.5 percent in the first seven months of 2026 as global operators moved beyond Tashkent, the capital.

From the end of 2025 to 1 August 2026, the total number of international brand hotels in the country climbed from 40 to 51 properties, while the number of represented brands increased from 25 to 31. Total room stock grew from 5,191 to 6,664 rooms, a 28.4 percent increase, and bed capacity rose from 9,340 to 12,096. During this period, 11 new international properties began operating.

The expansion shows a broader geographic spread. International brands had previously been concentrated in Tashkent, but new projects have appeared in Bukhara, Samarkand, Nukus, Termez, Chimgan, and Beldersoy.

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts recorded the biggest increase, growing its portfolio from six to 11 hotels. Its new additions include Wyndham Garden Chorvoq Darvozasi, Ramada by Wyndham Nukus, Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Tashkent, TRYP by Wyndham Chimyon, and TRYP by Wyndham Tashkent Olympic City. Wyndham’s room count rose from 857 to 1,450.

Accor expanded from three to seven properties, lifting its total room inventory from 470 to 889 rooms. New openings under the ibis, Mercure, and Movenpick brands included Mercure Tashkent North, Mercure Bukhara Old Town, and Movenpick Tashkent Old City.

Hilton increased its presence from seven to eight hotels, raising room capacity from 1,109 to 1,274 rooms with additions including DoubleTree by Hilton Tashkent. Hyatt doubled its operating properties from one to two with the opening of Beldersoy Resort and Spa Destination by Hyatt, increasing its room inventory from 300 to 445 rooms. Marriott International kept two properties but expanded room inventory at the JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent, increasing its room count from 280 to 415.

The growth spans luxury, mid-scale, urban business, and mountain resort segments in Chimgan and Beldersoy.

According to a study by CMWP Uzbekistan titled "Central Asian International Hotel Chains – 2025 Market Overview," room supply among international hotel chains in Uzbekistan increased by 272 percent between 2020 and 2025. Over the same five-year period, international hotel supply rose by 52 percent in Kazakhstan, 38 percent in Kyrgyzstan, and 33 percent in Tajikistan.
