Uzbekistan air passenger traffic up 8.3% in H1 2026

Air passenger transport in Uzbekistan grew 8.3% year-on-year to 4.5 million in the first half of 2026, statistics show.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – The National Statistics Committee reports that Uzbekistan's air transport sector served 4.5 million passengers in the first six months of 2026. This represents an 8.3% rise in air passenger traffic compared to the corresponding period in 2025.

Additionally, air transport operators within the country moved 57.2 thousand tonnes of cargo during January–June 2026.

These figures highlight consistent expansion within Uzbekistan's aviation industry, demonstrating an 8.3% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers and a total of 57.2 thousand tonnes of cargo transported over the first half of the year.
