Individuals growing cannabis in a greenhouse and backyard were detained in Yangiyul district

During raids conducted in the Yangiyul district of the Tashkent region, 48 cannabis plants and more than 12 kilograms of marijuana were discovered.

As part of the "Qoradori-2026" control measures, operational officers identified a total of 10 cases where 48 cannabis plants were being cultivated on a land area of 339 square meters.

In particular, it was revealed that 12 cannabis plants were grown in a 300-square-meter greenhouse and 6.075 kilograms of marijuana were stored in the home of a citizen living in the Gulbog neighborhood.

Additionally, it was discovered that 4 cannabis plants were grown and 6 kilograms of marijuana were stored in the backyard of one of the households in the Said Ota neighborhood.

In connection with these cases, criminal proceedings have been initiated against these individuals under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigations are underway.
