Incheon Airport Corporation plans to open a representative office in Tashkent
As part of his visit to Seoul, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held meetings with representatives of Shinhan Financial Group, KIND, and Incheon International Airport Corporation. This was reported by the president's press service.
During the meeting with the Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, Jin Ok-dong, issues of expanding financial cooperation, improving infrastructure, as well as implementing investment projects in renewable energy and industrial sectors were discussed.
The signing of an agreement on allocating credit lines to commercial banks of Uzbekistan was noted with satisfaction.
Particular attention was paid to the issue of establishing a subsidiary bank of Shinhan Bank in the country.
Interest was expressed in attracting new financing instruments and "green" loans, as well as developing digital banking and special solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.
In the conversation with the Chief Executive Officer of KIND Corporation, Kim Bok-hwan, issues of expanding cooperation in the development of Uzbekistan's transport and social infrastructure were reviewed.
The parties welcomed the establishment of a joint investment platform.
Within the framework of the project to create a new scientific-industrial biocluster, the importance of forming an integrated ecosystem combining science, industry, and modern technologies was emphasized.
The parties noted the need to develop a master plan for the development of the area around the new international airport of Tashkent, integrating the airport, advanced logistics hubs, and residential infrastructure into a single system.
During the meeting with the Acting President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, Kim Beom-ho, the progress of projects to modernize Urgench International Airport and construct the new international airport of Tashkent was discussed.
The company's plans to open its representative office in Tashkent were supported.
A proposal was made to establish a center of competence in airport management, digitalization, and personnel training on its basis.
The Korean side emphasized its readiness to continue active participation in the implementation of joint projects, introduce advanced experience and technologies in the field of airport management, and expand long-term partnership with Uzbekistan.
Earlier, the president held meetings with representatives of Lotte Group, the Export-Import Bank, Hyundai Motor Group, Kia Motors, and Hyundai Rotem.
