On September 15, as part of the business program of his visit to South Korea, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Kim Bok-hwan, CEO of the Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Support Corporation (KIND).
During the talks, the parties reviewed issues of expanding cooperation in the development of Uzbekistan's transport and social infrastructure. One of the main outcomes of the meeting was the decision to establish a joint investment platform.
Special attention was paid to the project for the formation of a scientific and industrial bio-cluster. The need to build a unified ecosystem that will combine scientific research, industrial production, and modern technologies was emphasized.
In addition, the parties agreed on the importance of preparing a master plan for the development of the territory around the new Tashkent International Airport. This concept involves integrating the airport, modern logistics hubs, and residential urban infrastructure into a single system.
The implementation of these projects is expected to contribute to the development of modern infrastructure and the emergence of new points of economic growth.
