In which regions do craftsmen work the most?

According to the National Statistics Committee, as of July 1, 2026, a total of 23,163 craftsmen were working in Uzbekistan.

By region, the largest number of craftsmen is located in Tashkent, where 2,987 craftsmen work. Fergana region is in second place (2,743), and Samarkand region is in third place (2,209).

Also, 2,113 craftsmen are registered in Andijan region, 2,488 in Namangan region. 1,919 craftsmen work in Khorezm region, and 1,830 in Tashkent region.

There are 1,547 artisans in Kashkadarya region, 1,530 in Bukhara region.

1,170 artisans work in Surkhandarya region, and 1,121 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. In Jizzakh region, this figure is 1,032.

In other regions, the number of artisans is significantly lower. In particular, 462 artisans are registered in Syrdarya region, and 452 in Navoi region.
