Tashkent Leads Uzbekistan in Registered Artisans as of July 2026

National Statistics Committee data shows Tashkent leading Uzbekistan with 2,987 registered active artisans as of 1 July 2026.

As of July 1, 2026, Uzbekistan's National Committee on Statistics reported a total of 23,163 active artisans across the country. The capital, Tashkent, emerged as the leading region, registering 2,987 artisans.

Fergana region followed with the second-highest number, tallying 2,743 registered active artisans. Other regions with substantial artisan populations included Samarkand with 2,209, Andijan with 2,113, and Namangan with 2,048.

Regions in the central and southern parts of the country showed moderate numbers of registered artisans. Khorezm region recorded 1,919 active artisans, Tashkent region had 1,830, Kashkadarya region registered 1,547, and Bukhara region counted 1,530.

Lower artisan figures were observed in Surkhandarya region, with 1,170 registered artisans, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, with 1,121, and Jizzakh region, with 1,032.

The lowest numbers nationwide were found in Syrdarya and Navoiy regions, which reported 462 and 452 active artisans, respectively.
