In Uzbekistan, the cash payment limit has been increased to 176 million soums.

Effective September 1, Uzbekistan significantly increased the maximum cash payment for goods and services, increasing it more than sevenfold. The maximum amount is now 176 million soums, equivalent to 400 basic calculation units (BCUs), compared to the previous limit of 25 million soums.

This limitation does not apply to goods and services that can only be paid for by cashless means. These include utility bills, fuel purchases at gas stations, alcohol and tobacco products, cars, real estate, and government services.

Furthermore, entrepreneurs will now be able to receive a refund of a portion of their value-added tax (VAT) and enjoy tax and customs benefits, regardless of their ranking in the Entrepreneurship Sustainability Rating.

The state will also reimburse the costs of creating external utility networks for investment projects with a total value exceeding 200 billion soums. For projects implemented in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, this threshold is set at over 50 billion soums.

Starting November 1, the prepayment for electricity and natural gas consumption for businesses using automated metering systems will be reduced to 15%.
