Purchase amounts that can only be paid for in non-cash form have been increased
Starting from August 28, payments for goods and services worth more than 400 times the base calculation amount will be required to be made only in non-cash form. Previously, this threshold was 25 million soums. 400 BHM will be 176 million soums from September 1.
The upper limit for the purchase amount for which non-cash payments for goods and services are required in Uzbekistan has been increased.
Starting from April 1, 2026, cash payments for goods and services worth more than 25 million soums were prohibited.
Starting from August 28, this limit was set at 400 times the base calculation amount. This amount will be 164.8 million soums until September 1, 2026, and 176 million soums from September 1.
This change was provided for in the presidential decree adopted on August 27 as part of the implementation of the tasks set by the head of state during his dialogue with entrepreneurs. The decree came into force on August 28.
At the same time, an exception remains for agricultural products, that is, cash payments can be made for purchases of agricultural products of any value.
