Uzbekistan eases restrictions on capital outflow abroad
Starting September 17, residents of Uzbekistan will be allowed to perform certain foreign exchange transactions related to the movement of capital abroad. Such transactions are permitted within established annual limits.
Companies with state participation will be able to allocate up to $100,000 to participate in the authorized capital of foreign enterprises. These same funds are allowed to be used for opening branches, representative offices, and trading houses.
For companies without state participation, the limit is set at $200,000.
Restrictions have also been introduced on replenishing the working capital of their own foreign branches and representative offices. Companies with state participation will be able to allocate up to $50,000, while others can allocate up to $100,000.
Individuals have been allowed to allocate up to $10,000 to participate in the authorized capital of foreign enterprises.
