In Uzbekistan, registered doctors and pharmacists will be paid an additional 7 million soums, and nurses — 3.5 million. The registration of medical and pharmaceutical workers will begin on July 1 next year.

This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting with medical and pharmaceutical workers.

At the first stage, registration will be voluntary, and from 2030 it will become mandatory.

The head of state noted that there should be clear order and strict control in the healthcare sector, and only professionals should engage in medical and pharmaceutical activities.

Those responsible were instructed to ensure the quality of specialized education, as well as the continuous operation of the system for training and advanced training of personnel.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also proposed establishing a state award for medical workers. It will bear the name of Ibn Sina. It is planned to be presented to those who take care of people's health and introduce advanced scientific developments and treatment methods.
