In Uzbekistan, real wages increased by 11 percent - Central Bank

In Uzbekistan, in January-June 2026, the average monthly nominal wage increased by 18.4 percent, reaching 7.1 million soums. Taking inflation into account, real wages grew by 10.9 percent. In terms of regions, only in Andijan region did the growth of real wages not reach 8 percent; this indicator amounted to 13.3 percent in Jizzakh region.

**Real wages in Uzbekistan increased by 11 percent — Central Bank**

The high growth rates of wages in Uzbekistan continued in the first half of 2026. This was reported in the Central Bank's labor market review for the second quarter.

It is noted that in January-June 2026, the average monthly nominal wage amounted to 7.1 million soums. This is 18.4 percent more compared to the corresponding period of 2025. When the impact of inflation is taken into account, the real wages of the population increased by 10.9 percent.

### Highest salary in the financial sector

Wage levels vary significantly across sectors. In the first half of 2026, the highest average wage was recorded in financial and insurance activities — 19.1 million soums.

The next highest indicator was observed in the field of information and communication services — the average wage in this direction was 17.4 million soums.

At the same time, agriculture and social services remain among the sectors with the lowest wages. The average wage in agriculture was 3.5 million soums, and in social services, it was 4.7 million soums.

Thus, the average wage in the financial and insurance sector is almost 5.5 times higher than the indicator in agriculture.

### In which sectors did wages grow faster?

In terms of wage growth rates, some sectors recorded results even higher than the overall indicator.

In particular, in the first half of 2026, wages in the transportation and storage sector increased by 22.8 percent, in social services by 20.2 percent, and in construction by 19.9 percent.

Wage growth in these sectors was higher than the average nominal wage growth across the country.
