In the first half of 2026, the activity of job seekers in the labor market of Uzbekistan increased. The number of active resumes grew by 17.6 percent.

According to the Central Bank, wage growth also continued during this period. Compared to the same period last year, nominal wages increased by 18.4 percent, while real wages adjusted for inflation rose by 10.9 percent.

In the second quarter of 2026, the volume of remittances to Uzbekistan amounted to 5.5 billion dollars, increasing by 13.1 percent on an annual basis.

It is noted that the growth of real wages and remittances is supporting the purchasing power of the population. At the same time, the increase in the number of resumes indicates growing competition for jobs in the labor market.
