HACCP requirements for dietary supplement manufacturers to take effect in Uzbekistan from 2028
Starting January 1, 2028, the requirements of the HACCP system, aimed at ensuring food safety, will be applied in Uzbekistan when issuing permits for dietary supplements.
This was established by Presidential Decree No. UP-35 dated March 5, 2026. Ahead of the new regulations coming into force, the relevant Agency has begun assessing the readiness of domestic manufacturers and providing them with practical and methodological support.
Another inspection took place at the Pharma care enterprise. Specialists conducted a preliminary assessment of the production processes for compliance with HACCP principles and examined how prepared the company is for the implementation of the system.
During the analysis, production conditions, technological processes, in-process control, compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards, as well as mechanisms for ensuring product quality and safety were reviewed.
Based on the results of the preliminary audit, company representatives were given recommendations on eliminating identified deficiencies, and the procedure for the phased implementation of the system was explained.
The Agency reported that work to assess the readiness of dietary supplement manufacturers for the new requirements and to provide them with methodological assistance will continue.
