In Uzbekistan, a reorganization of governing bodies in the field of education and science has been carried out
By decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation have been merged into a single Ministry of Education and Science.
The reform aims to create a unified system of education, upbringing, and science in the country, taking into account modern requirements, as well as to improve the quality and efficiency of the educational process and develop human capital.
Within the framework of the transformations, provision is made for ensuring mutual integration and continuity between all levels of education — from preschool to higher education. In addition, there are plans to introduce a unified management system covering the field of education and scientific activity.
Special attention is paid to increasing the accountability of the educational and scientific system to the public and improving management mechanisms at all stages of specialist training.
It is expected that the merger of the departments will allow for closer coordination between different levels of education, science, and innovation activity.
