In Uzbekistan, drivers will no longer be fined for crossing a solid line before intersections
Starting November 1, the procedure for holding drivers accountable for crossing a solid lane marking line is changing in Uzbekistan. Road patrol service inspectors will not issue administrative protocols for such violations within 50 meters before intersections and 20 meters before U-turn locations.
The relevant changes are established by a Cabinet of Ministers resolution dated October 29.
This refers to crossing horizontal road markings 1.1 and 1.3. As follows from the document, RPS officers will not draw up administrative protocols for crossing them in these sections.
As a reminder, starting November 1, private automated cameras in Uzbekistan will be able to record cases where drivers and passengers are not wearing seatbelts. To do this, the equipment must meet the established technical requirements and be capable of automatically transmitting violation data to the "Ma'muriy amaliyot" module.
In particular, the system must record the number and validity period of the metrological verification certificate, the date and time of the violation, as well as the exact coordinates of the location where it occurred. In addition, the images must clearly show the driver's face and the presence or absence of a fastened seatbelt.
At present, private cameras in Uzbekistan record speeding, running a red light, crossing the stop line and entering oncoming traffic, non-compliance with road signs, as well as traffic, stopping, and parking violations.
