The customs authorities of Uzbekistan stopped two attempts to illegally export foreign currency totaling 44.5 thousand US dollars. The violations were detected in the Andijan and Bukhara regions.
At the "Dustlik" border customs post in the Andijan region, 34 thousand dollars not specified in the declaration were found on a car passenger. Another case was recorded at the Bukhara International Airport, where an air passenger tried to secretly export 10.5 thousand dollars above the established limit.
Investigations are underway into both episodes.
