In Uzbekistan, a portal will be launched for complaints about pressure, violence, and discrimination at work

Uzbekistan will gradually introduce the "Safe and Respectful Working Environment" program, aimed at protecting employees from pressure, violence, discrimination, and harassment in the workplace. To achieve this, a special online portal is planned to be launched by December 1, 2026.

The program will operate in state bodies, organizations with a state share of more than 50%, as well as in other enterprises and institutions regardless of their form of ownership.

Through the new portal, employees will be able to report cases of pressure, violence, and discrimination at work. If a complaint involves a supervisor or a responsible employee, it will be automatically forwarded to the higher-level organization.

The portal will register appeals, collect evidence, and store the results of investigations. Information on identified cases and measures taken cannot be deleted.

If an appeal shows signs of a crime, the relevant information will be forwarded to the competent authorities via the "112" service.

In addition, it is recommended to supplement the internal regulations of organizations with provisions stating that sexual and physical violence, as well as harassment, are considered gross violations of labor duties. It is proposed to classify pressure, psychological impact, and harassment of an employee for filing a complaint as violations of labor discipline.

The Efficiency Management Agency will be granted the authority to monitor compliance with these requirements through the portal and to seek the elimination of identified violations.

, that more than 2.4 thousand employees of state structures were held accountable for violations when working with appeals from citizens. Following the audits of the People's Reception Offices, 151 officials lost their positions, and over 800 more received reprimands.
