In Uzbekistan, 83 percent of graduates who completed higher education institutions are employed. This was reported on the "Graduate Quality Index" (GQI) platform developed by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.

As part of the analysis, the labor market outcomes of 249,432 graduates from 170 higher education organizations were studied. It is indicated that 206,951 (83 percent) of these graduates are employed.

19,314 graduates (7.7 percent) are continuing their education, while another 48,125 (19.3 percent) are on parental leave.

"Graduates who are continuing their education, serving in the military, on parental leave, deceased, or foreign citizens are not included in the calculation," the GQI website states.

In turn, it is indicated that 41,006 graduates are unemployed, 1,316 (0.5 percent) are foreigners, and 159 (0.1 percent) are deceased.

Earlier, it was reported that the average monthly salary of graduates is 4.9 million soums. In this regard, the highest average salary by region was recorded in the city of Tashkent — 6.6 million soums. It was determined that the average time taken for graduates to find employment across the republic is 3 months and 5 days.
