On the night of September 30, 2025, under the pretext of showing off the flock, he took the men to a mountainous area and attacked them. The attacker struck the first victim twice in the head with a stone, causing his instant death from an open craniocerebral injury. The accused then attempted to kill the second man, but he managed to escape despite a fractured scapula and humerus. Law enforcement authorities detained the perpetrator on October 2, 2025. The court found him guilty of murder, attempted murder, and embezzlement of entrusted property, sentencing him to 19 years in a general regime penal colony. He was also ordered to pay 171.5 million soums to the deceased's representative and 60 million soums to the surviving victim.
It was previously reported that in the Syrdarya region, a 32-year-old woman was sentenced to 13 years and four months in prison for the murder of her two young sons. According to the court, the defendant strangled the children after an argument with her husband and then attempted suicide.
