In the Andijan region, the operations of an enterprise have been suspended due to air pollution

In the Balykchy district of the Andijan region, the operations of a stone processing enterprise have been suspended for 10 days following appeals from residents complaining about air pollution. An inspection revealed that allowable emission limits were exceeded, there was a lack of treatment facilities and an environmental impact assessment, as well as violations in waste storage.

The inspection was conducted by specialists from the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, the Andijan Regional Department of Ecology, and the Eco-police.

As established by the inspectors, the enterprise had not developed measures to protect the air. In addition, there were no installations for cleaning dust and gas emissions generated during stone processing.

Laboratory tests confirmed that the content of harmful substances in the emissions exceeded the established standards.

Violations were also identified in the disposal of industrial waste. Furthermore, the enterprise was operating without a positive conclusion from the state environmental review.

As a result, the enterprise's operations were suspended for 10 days. The management was issued directives to eliminate the identified violations, ensure the proper storage and removal of waste, and obtain the necessary environmental conclusion.

In addition, the enterprise was ordered to pay compensation for environmental damage.
