In the Andijan region, a taxi roof sign was used to transport hashish

In the Andijan region, batches of hashish were identified in two Cobalt cars. In one instance, the drug was hidden in the driver's door pocket, and in another, inside a roof sign mounted on the top of the car.

The operations were conducted by officers of the Andijan Regional Customs Department in cooperation with representatives of the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies.

The first car was stopped in the "Yangi Hayot" mahalla of the Khojaabad district. During the inspection, a package containing a brown substance was discovered in the driver's door pocket. Expertise confirmed that it was hashish weighing 149.47 grams.

The second Cobalt was checked at a road patrol service checkpoint in the Bustan district. There, the narcotic substance was found inside a roof sign with the word TAXI, attached to the roof of the vehicle. According to experts' conclusions, the seized substance turned out to be hashish weighing 210.92 grams.

The total weight of the seized drugs amounted to 360.39 grams. Pre-investigation proceedings are being conducted for both cases.

Earlier in Tashkent, a taxi passenger was found with a children's doll inside which eight packages of hashish were hidden.
