In Tashkent, it is planned to implement the practice of installing mobile video cameras on the front of city buses by December 15.

The corresponding order was given to the Road Safety Department of the Capital Main Department of Internal Affairs, the Main Department for the Development of Transport and Road-Transport Infrastructure, as well as the company "Toshshahartransxizmat" by a resolution of the Capital Kengash of People's Deputies.

The equipment will automatically record traffic violations directly while the buses are moving along their routes. The devices are intended to be integrated with the unified database of the Road Safety Department.

In addition, starting November 1, relevant departments were instructed to step up regular raids to prevent illegal driving and stopping of passenger and personal cars in the designated "A" lanes intended for public transport.

Also last week, stationary cameras for monitoring bus lanes were installed on the capital's Lutfi Street. Based on the video recordings, drivers are fined for driving, stopping, and parking in lanes designated for buses and bicycles. Similar photo and video recording systems previously appeared on Fargona Yuli Street along a 6-kilometer stretch in both directions.
