Cameras installed on Fergana Highway in Tashkent to monitor bus lanes

On a six-kilometer section of Fergana Highway in Tashkent, cameras have been placed in both directions to record vehicles entering designated lanes for public transport.

Cameras are also being installed on bus lanes along other streets in the capital. According to the Traffic Management Center, their purpose is to ensure the unimpeded movement of buses and reduce travel delays.

Designated lanes are marked with the letter "A". From 06:00 to 23:00, traffic on them is prohibited for vehicles without appropriate permission. Cars occupying these lanes prevent buses from adhering to schedules and transporting passengers without delays.

Earlier, a "Green Wave" system corridor was launched on Fergana Highway. Specialists from the Traffic Management Center synchronized the operation of 13 traffic light objects on a 6-kilometer section of the highway — from the "Kuyluk-Ota" mausoleum beyond the Kuyluk bridge to UzBUM.
