Tashkent announces completion dates for new BRT lanes
In Tashkent, the creation of dedicated bus rapid transit (BRT) lanes for public transport continues on Shakhrisabz, Amir Temur, and Yangi Sergeli streets. Work is planned to be completed at the end of November and in the first decade of December 2026. The total length of the new sections will exceed five kilometers.
On Shakhrisabz Street, work is underway on the segment from Amir Temur Avenue to Makhtumkuli Street, where 1 kilometer of road is being equipped. Completion is scheduled for December 1.
On Amir Temur Avenue, dedicated lanes are being created on the section from the Yunusabad metro station to Bogishamol Street. The work on the road with a total length of 2.73 kilometers has been divided into two stages. The first section, 1.43 kilometers long, is planned to be completed by December 10, and the second, 1.3 kilometers long, by the same date.
On Yangi Sergeli Street, work is being carried out from the intersection with Shota Rustaveli Street to the traffic interchange toward Sergeli Yuli. Here, 1.36 kilometers of road surface is being renewed. This stage is planned to be completed by November 30.
During the repair period, drivers are advised to take into account possible traffic restrictions and comply with the requirements of road signs.
Earlier in Tashkent, a new BRT section about a kilometer long was opened, and the total length of the dedicated line on Shota Rustaveli and Shakhrisabz streets reached almost eight kilometers.
