In Tashkent, the construction of two more sections of the dedicated BRT-format bus lane has started — on Amir Temur Avenue and Yangi Sergeli Street.
The work is taking place in the central part of the roadway, while traffic in both directions is maintained on the remaining lanes.
The Traffic Management Center urged drivers to take into account possible road difficulties and, if possible, choose alternative routes.
The first phase covers 1.4 km of Amir Temur Avenue — from the intersection with Akhmad Donish Street to Shakhristan Street — and 1.4 km of Yangi Sergeli Street — from the intersection with Choshtepa Street to the SOUEAST service center.
Currently, construction of the BRT lane on Shakhrisabz Street continues. After combining all sections, a single line will appear on these streets along the route Yangi Sergeli — Shota Rustaveli — Shakhrisabz — Amir Temur.
Earlier, the capital's hokimiyat reported that it is also planned to cover Mukimi, Karatash, and Kukcha Darvaza Streets, Parkent Street, and Mirzo Ulugbek Avenue with the BRT system.
