He was rescued by the staff of a restaurant located along the water. Following the incident, he was taken to the hospital, and his current condition is good. There are plans to reward those who rescued the boy.

In the Olmazor district of Tashkent, a 13-year-old boy climbed onto a pipe to retrieve a ball that had fallen into the water and fell into the canal. While he was being carried away by the water current, employees of a restaurant located by the water rescued him.
According to the capital's Emergency Situations Department (ESD), the incident occurred in one of the neighborhoods located by the water in the Olmazor district. While children were playing with a ball near a stadium, the ball fell into the water. The 13-year-old boy climbed onto a large pipe to retrieve it and immediately fell into the water.
Employees of a restaurant by the water noticed the boy being carried away by the strong current. One of the employees jumped into the water after him, and then his mentor also jumped in to help. While trying to reach the boy, they first grabbed one tree, then another, but the trees broke. After that, they leaned on a broken tree floating in the water and brought the boy to the shore.
"People from above also tried to save the boy, they reached out with a stick. But the current in the middle was very fast. When I got into the water, the boy struggled and climbed on top of me, almost drowning me too," said the restaurant employee.
The boy said he was very scared while being carried under the bridge. According to him, under the bridge, there was almost no space left between the water level and the bridge, and it became difficult to breathe. Then he saw light and managed to get his head out of the water.
"I thought it was all over. Then light appeared, and I immediately pulled my head out of the water. Two people got into the water, and three more pulled me out from above. If a ball or anything else falls into the water, let it float away. There is nothing more valuable than a person's life. Thank you for saving me," he said.
An ESD representative reported that the boy's current condition is good. After the incident, he was taken to the hospital and is under medical supervision. According to him, if the boy had not been pulled out of the water in time, the current could have carried him toward the hydroelectric power station, and saving his life would have been very difficult.
According to the ESD, there are plans to reward the waiter who saved the boy.
A patrol service inspector and another man came to the boy's aid and pulled him out of the water.
