Tashkent expressed gratitude to a man who rescued a drowning child.
The Tashkent Department of Emergency Situations (DES) presented a certificate of gratitude to a man who rescued a 4-5-year-old child who was starting to drown. Prompt action and timely first aid saved the child's life.
Earlier, a video of the incident circulated on social media showing a man pulling the unconscious child from the water and immediately beginning resuscitation.
As it later turned out, the rescuer was at the scene by chance: he had arrived with a crew filming a commercial. Noticing the drowning child, the man immediately rushed to help.
The DES emphasized that in critical situations, every second counts. They noted that a person's willingness to help and not remain indifferent can play a key role in saving a life.
The hero himself expressed modesty in assessing his actions and called on residents of the capital to be more attentive and responsible.
He also issued an important reminder to parents: young children should never be left unattended, even for short periods of time, and swimming in undesignated and prohibited areas can have tragic consequences.
The child's life is currently not in danger.
