A video of the rescue of a 13-year-old boy drowning in the Burjar Canal in Tashkent has circulated on social media. A patrol officer and an unidentified man came to the boy's aid.

A 13-year-old boy was rescued from the Burjar Canal by a patrol inspector. This information was provided by the press secretary of the Yakkasaray District Khokimiyat of Tashkent.
According to the report, Inspector Rasul Zhurayev noticed 13-year-old Muhammad G. drowning in the Burjar Canal. The inspector immediately jumped into the water, rescued the boy, and brought him safely to shore.
Video footage posted on social media shows an unidentified man also in the water. He and the inspector helped the boy reach the fenced-in shore. Bystanders arrived and helped pull the boy from the water.
As a reminder, in July of this year, a National Guard officer died in Tashkent while attempting to rescue a woman from the Bozsu Canal.
