Two cases of fraud totaling nearly 4 thousand dollars thwarted in Tashkent and Bukhara region

In the Bukhara region and Tashkent, two men were detained on suspicion of fraud. One promised assistance with admission to a lyceum under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the other — to return a driver's license that a citizen had been deprived of by a court decision. In total, they requested 3.8 thousand dollars for their services.

As reported by the "Uzbekistan 24" TV channel, in the Gijduvan district, a lecturer at the Bukhara Tax College promised a citizen to help him enter the Bukhara Academic Lyceum under the Ministry of Internal Affairs through high-ranking acquaintances. He demanded 800 dollars for his services and was caught red-handed while receiving the money.

Another episode was uncovered in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent. A man promised to restore, for three thousand dollars, the driver's license of a person who had been deprived of the right to drive a vehicle by a court decision. He claimed that he could resolve the issue through high-ranking acquaintances and was detained while receiving the money.

Criminal cases have been initiated on both facts, and investigative actions are underway.

Earlier in the Andijan region, a 39-year-old man was detained while attempting to sell 297 million counterfeit soms. During a search of his home, a computer, a printer, and blanks of fake banknotes were discovered.
