In Samarkand, 17 snakes found by residents were returned to their natural environment

In the mountainous areas of the Nurobod district of the Samarkand region, 17 snakes found by residents were examined by specialists and released back into the wild. 16 of them were Central Asian cobras, and 1 was a viper.

The snakes had entered residential areas for various reasons, and some fell into the hands of local residents in a diseased or injured state. They were then handed over to the Main Department of Ecology and Climate Change of the Samarkand region.

Specialists conducted a special examination of the wild animals and determined that they were fit to live in their natural environment. After that, the snakes were taken to the high mountainous part of the Omonqoton National Nature Park and released into an area free from human influence.

Specialists emphasized the importance of preserving wild animals and preventing their unjustified destruction.
