In the Samarkand region, century-old plane trees have been granted the status of natural monuments

In the Jomboy district of the Samarkand region, plane trees that are over 100 years old have received the status of state natural monuments. These trees have been placed under state protection.

Work continues in the district to identify valuable plantings as part of measures to preserve green areas. In particular, eco-inspectors surveyed the territories of the Kukgumbaz and Kholvoy mahallas and discovered plane trees there whose age exceeds a century.

It was these trees that were granted the status of "State Natural Monument" by decision of the khokim of the Jomboy district. They are now under state protection.

At the same time, specialists continue to survey other areas of the district to identify trees of ecological and historical value.
