A 350-year-old tree in the center of Tashkent has been recognized as a state natural monument.

A 350-year-old tree in central Tashkent has been designated a state natural monument.

According to a decision by the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies, a 350-year-old white mulberry (Morus alba) growing along the Blue Domes Alley in the Yakkasaray District is now officially a state natural monument.

Experts conducted a thorough study of the current condition of this 350-year-old tree, assessed the conditions created for its preservation and protection, and examined the landscaping of the surrounding area.

As part of their future efforts, specialists intend to install a fence around the tree in accordance with approved standards, landscape the surrounding area, and install information signs indicating its status as a natural monument. These measures are intended to protect the centuries-old mulberry tree from external influences.

It was also noted that preserving this green area is of great importance. The need to join forces with relevant agencies to improve the area around the tree and foster a caring attitude among city residents toward this natural landmark was emphasized.

The implementation of all these tasks will be under parliamentary and public oversight.
