In Qashqadaryo, an ambulance paramedic was detained while selling psychotropic drugs

In the city of Tashkent and Qashqadaryo region, the illegal circulation of potent drug substances worth more than 400 million soums was prevented.

It is reported that an operational event was conducted jointly by the department and law enforcement officers in the Qorliqbog‘ot neighborhood of the city of Qarshi. During the operation, a paramedic of the Kasbi district emergency medical services station was detained while selling 200 units of three types of psychotropic drugs to a citizen for 15 million soums. According to the expert opinion, the tablets were found to contain 18 grams of a potent substance.

Additionally, during an event conducted jointly by the Chilanzar district department of Tashkent city and officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a citizen was detained while selling potent drug substances to a buyer for 295 USD. A total of 1,156 units of drug substances with a total value of 388.3 million soums were seized from him as material evidence.

In connection with these cases, criminal proceedings have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are currently underway.

Earlier, individuals attempting to sell a thousand units of potent drugs were detained in the Fergana region. It was also reported that more than 6,000 such drug substances were confiscated in the region.
