In Novosibirsk, a citizen of Uzbekistan accused of torturing and murdering a three-year-old girl will stand trial. The indictment was approved by the Prosecutor's Office of the Novosibirsk Oblast.
According to investigators, from March 25 to April 27, 2026, the man repeatedly beat his partner and her three-year-old daughter. In addition, he locked the child in a built-in wall closet.
In April, the accused beat the girl and did not call for medical assistance. On April 27, he inflicted multiple blows to the child's head and body. The girl lost consciousness and died shortly after in the hospital.
The man has been charged under articles on torture, causing grievous bodily harm, and the murder of a minor. The criminal case has been sent to the Novosibirsk Regional Court.
According to the prosecutor's office, the man, woman, and child arrived in Russia in December 2025. The accused and the deceased girl were in the country in violation of migration laws.
