In New Tashkent, investors will not be required to green 30% of the land area. The greening of 30% of the city will be provided by the state based on the master plan. For non-residential projects worth over $50 million, the cost of the "green" certificate will be covered. A responsible person will be assigned to large projects.

Requirement to green 30 percent of land area for investors to be canceled in New Tashkent

The requirement to green 30 percent of the land area purchased by investors in New Tashkent will not apply. Greening 30 percent of the city will be provided by the state based on the master plan. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this during a meeting with investors and entrepreneurs on October 12.

In addition, the costs of "green" certificates for non-residential projects valued at over $50 million will be fully covered by the state.

The President once again emphasized that New Tashkent must be a true "green city." "Green building" standards are being applied to facilities constructed here. At the same time, it was taken into account that obtaining a certificate is an additional expense for entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, the head of state announced that a new approach will also be introduced in working with large investors. "A responsible official will be assigned to each project valued at over $50 million. They will accompany the investor until the facility is commissioned and assist in resolving any arising issues," he said.

In this context, the principle of "one investment agreement for each project over $50 million" will apply. The agreement will take into account the investor's obligations and risks, and an appropriate package of incentives will be determined.
