In the Namangan region, law enforcement officers found a bag containing a drug on a Nexia car driver. The examination established that there were 70 grams of hashish inside.

The operation was conducted by officers of the Internal Affairs Department of the Namangan Region together with representatives of the State Security Service. The event was aimed at countering the illicit trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as identifying persons involved in their distribution.

During a search, a plastic bag with a dark-colored substance having a pungent odor was found on the driver.

The seized item was sent for examination. According to the conclusion of the forensic expert center, hashish was identified in the composition of the substance. The total weight was 70 grams.

On this fact, the investigative department initiated a criminal case under an article providing for liability for illicit drug trafficking. An investigation is underway.

Law enforcers remind: the fight against illicit drug trafficking requires not only the work of special services, but also the participation of citizens themselves. Residents are asked not to remain indifferent to suspicious situations and to report possible violations.

Earlier in the Andijan region, two men were caught red-handed selling almost two kilograms of hashish for 18 thousand dollars. During the arrest, they put up active resistance to law enforcers and tried to escape, but they were successfully stopped.
