"Regapen" dealers detained in Namangan and Andijan

In the Namangan and Andijan regions, the illegal trafficking of potent drugs has been suppressed. As part of two operational events, law enforcement officers seized more than 3,000 "Regapen" tablets, and one of the suspects was detained while selling a large batch for 7.7 thousand dollars.

The first detention took place in the Pap district of the Namangan region. Officers of the department of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office and other law enforcement agencies detained a citizen at the moment of selling 938 "Regapen" tablets.

During the arrest, another 1.8 thousand tablets of the same potent drug were found on the man. They were also seized as physical evidence.

During the pre-investigation check, it was established that the citizen purchased the drugs in Fergana together with his acquaintance, who had a prior conviction. After the delivery of the medicines, one of them was engaged in placing the goods in predetermined locations and ensuring storage, while the other looked for buyers and sold the drugs.

Another episode was uncovered in the Balykchy district of the Andijan region. During a search of the house of a resident of the "Navruz" mahalla, law enforcement officers found 308 "Regapen" tablets. According to the investigation, the man kept the drug for further sale.

In both cases, criminal proceedings have been initiated under the article providing for liability for the illegal trafficking of potent or poisonous substances that are not classified as narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogues.

Earlier, the smuggling of a large batch of drugs and potent substances was thwarted in Kokand. Law enforcement seized 2.4 kilograms of hashish and 5.6 thousand "Regapen" tablets from the detainee.
