In Irkutsk, a court has sentenced a citizen of Uzbekistan who beat his daughter and pushed her out of a window. The man was sentenced to seven years and six months in a strict-regime penal colony. He beat his 17-year-old daughter and then pushed her out of a fourth-floor window. The girl sustained multiple fractures.
According to the investigation, in November 2024, the man, while driving along a street, saw his 17-year-old daughter without a head covering. At that moment, she was supposed to be at school attending classes. The father stopped the car, struck her, and forced her into the vehicle.
During the drive, and later at home, the man continued to beat his daughter, including with a metal hose. During the conflict, he pushed the minor into the open window frame of the fourth-floor apartment.
The girl sustained multiple physical injuries of varying severity and was hospitalized. While in the hospital, she told law enforcement officers about the circumstances of the incident and testified against her father.
A criminal case was initiated under articles on attempted murder and torture. The defendant did not plead guilty; however, the court agreed with the state prosecutor's position and sentenced him to seven years and six months of imprisonment in a strict-regime penal colony.
Previously, a 15-year-old girl died after being beaten by her father in the Mubarek district of the Qashqadaryo region. The motive was 400,000 soums that the teenager had taken without permission.
