Reports on medical workers in Hazorasp being forced to participate in landscaping and improvement works have been denied

Reports have spread on social media that employees of medical institutions in the Hazorasp district were forced to participate in landscaping and improvement works, and that money was being collected from them for fines. The Khorezm Regional Health Department has responded to this situation.

The information stating that medical workers were forced to go out for landscaping and improvement works along the road leading to the cities of Urgench and Khiva, as well as to residential homes, was not confirmed.

It is noted that in order to keep the environment clean, tidying-up works were carried out only within the territories of the medical institutions themselves. Employees were not sent outside the courtyard and internal territory of the institution. The allegations regarding a fine imposed by the SES (Sanitary-Epidemiological Service) and that money for it is being collected from employees were also clarified.

During the sanitary inspection process, administrative fines were imposed not on the institution itself, but on certain responsible employees who approached their duties irresponsibly and violated sanitary and hygienic rules.

"In the event that a fine is imposed on the institution, covering the fine amount at the expense of employees is not permitted," the response states.

The department announced that compliance with the requirements of labor legislation and the protection of employees' rights are under constant control.
