In the Uzun district of the Surkhandarya region, a manager was held administratively liable for forcing an employee to perform work duties during their legal vacation. An investigation was launched after an audio recording of the conversation surfaced on social media.

According to the published materials, the manager categorically demanded that the subordinate return to work immediately. At the time, the employee was undergoing outpatient treatment under a doctor's supervision. When asked to formally document the summons, the director responded rudely and threatened, saying, "Don't try to force me," "If you don't like it, get lost," and "I'll destroy you." The case concerns the director of the state institution "Suv Etkazib Berish Khizmati."

After the incident became public, the State Labor Inspectorate conducted an investigation and confirmed the violation. The agency found that the manager ignored both the employee's official vacation and his health, and that the call-in occurred without the employee's consent.

The director was fined for forced labor under Article 51 of the Administrative Code. The employee's allegations that the new management was also pressuring other colleagues and planning to fire up to 15 people were not confirmed during the inspection.

The incident in Surkhandarya is not the only example of a response to labor rights violations. A similar incident occurred earlier in Nurafshan, where the head of the youth affairs department was fired after a recording was published in which he insulted his subordinates.
