In Fergana, the court verdict has been read in the case of the brothers who killed their own mother and stepfather.

According to court documents, the 27-year-old defendant, in prior conspiracy with his minor brother born in 2009, planned to seize the house belonging to his mother in the city of Fergana, take possession of valuable items in the apartment, and also kill his mother, stepfather, and another brother.

According to the plan, the brothers first entered the house, and one of them hid in the children's room. After the couple returned home, the second defendant told his stepfather that he had something important to say and took him outside.

Meanwhile, the eldest son, who was hiding in the room, attacked his mother, who was left alone in the living room. He strangled the woman with his hands and an electric cable, then hit her on the head with a glass container and killed her.

After that, he sent an SMS to his brother, indicating that the first stage of the plan was completed. The younger brother brought the stepfather back into the house. The older brother, who was hiding in the bathroom, stabbed him 12 times in various parts of his body with a kitchen knife, killing the stepfather as well.

The brothers placed the deceased inside a sofa bed and cleaned up the blood traces. Then, they waited for the other brother to arrive home with the intention of killing him too.

When the brother arrived at the apartment towards evening, the two defendants attacked him. However, he resisted his brothers, escaped from the house, and called the neighbors for help. Therefore, the defendants were unable to complete the crime.

Before fleeing the scene, they took phones, money, jewelry, and other items belonging to the deceased.

The Fergana City Criminal Court sentenced the minor defendant to 13 years of imprisonment by partially adding the sentences imposed on the basis of Article 59, Part 3 of the Criminal Code. He will serve his sentence in a juvenile correctional colony.

The second defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment for the combination of crimes, by absorbing the lighter sentence with the more severe one imposed on the basis of Article 59, Part 4 of the Criminal Code.

Speaking in court, one of the defendants expressed remorse for his actions and said it should be a lesson to other young people.

"Let this be a lesson to young children, especially to parents. If they look after their children well and treat them with kindness, it won't come to this level. Forgive me once again," he said.

The daughter of the deceased stepfather spoke about his attitude towards the children. According to her, her father loved boys and was not a person who would treat children in such a way.

"They started living together at the end of July 2025. Since then, we had no contact with them. I heard about his death on February 12. I don't know, maybe because I was the only daughter, he loved boys very much. Maybe because he didn't have a son, he was not a person to treat a boy like that," the girl said.
