In Fergana, a man who beat his father-in-law to death has been imprisoned
In the Uchkuprik district of the Fergana region, a conflict arising from alcohol consumption ended in murder. According to the verdict rendered by the district criminal court, the individual who caused the death of his father-in-law was sentenced to 8 years of deprivation of liberty.
It was revealed that the man was drinking alcohol with his father-in-law at his home. During the conversation, a dispute arose between them because the father-in-law compared his son-in-law's daughter — that is, his own granddaughter — to girls of bad character. Unable to control his anger during the quarrel, the man struck his father-in-law in the face with his hands and forehead, and then kicked him hard in the head and face with his feet.
As a result, the man, who sustained severe bodily injuries, was hospitalized, but despite the medical assistance provided, he died 18 days later.
The criminal case initiated regarding this incident was reviewed in court. According to the court's verdict, the man was found guilty of committing the crime stipulated in paragraph "d" of Part 3 of Article 104 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Intentional infliction of grievous bodily injury). He was sentenced to 8 years of deprivation of liberty. It was determined that he will serve the sentence in general regime colonies.
