In eight months, 5.3 million Uzbeks traveled abroad

The National Statistics Committee has published the list of countries most visited by citizens of Uzbekistan for tourism purposes.

According to official data, in the first eight months of 2026, 5.3 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for tourism purposes.

This figure has increased by 109.9 thousand people compared to the same period in 2025.

Uzbekistanis traveled most to Kyrgyzstan. In January–August, 2 million 427 thousand 526 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled to this country. This is equal to almost half of the total foreign trips.

Kazakhstan took second place with 955 thousand 829 tourists, and Tajikistan took third place with 876 thousand 650.

Countries most visited by citizens of Uzbekistan:

Kyrgyzstan - 2,427,526 people;

Kazakhstan - 955,829 people;

Tajikistan - 876,650 people;

Russia - 257,567 people;

Turkey - 212,265 people;

Saudi Arabia - 184,155 people;

United Arab Emirates - 56,910 people;

China - 52,043 people;

Egypt - 39,599 people;

Vietnam - 33,439 people.

The first three places of the ranking were occupied by countries bordering Uzbekistan. In total, more than 4 million 260 thousand citizens traveled to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. This constitutes almost 80 percent of all tourist trips made abroad.

Among more distant destinations, Russia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia are leading. The UAE, China, Egypt, and Vietnam are also among the top ten countries most visited by Uzbeks.
