In Bukhara, a tutor who harassed a female student was sentenced to three days of administrative arrest

In Bukhara, a university tutor who harassed a female student by calling her at night and offering to help her pass her midterm exams has been sentenced to 3 days of administrative arrest.

The incident occurred on August 14, 2026, at approximately 22:00. A.A., who works as a tutor at one of the universities in the city of Bukhara, called a student in the group he supervises. During the conversation, he sexually harassed her, stating that he would help her pass her midterm exams.

Frightened by the man's words, the girl stated that she would contact law enforcement agencies. Despite this, A.A. continued to call and used inappropriate words that demeaned the student's honor and dignity.

The tutor confessed to his actions in court. He stated that he had made such a proposal to the student because he was drunk that day. He also mentioned that he had apologized to the girl and that such a situation would not happen again.

The girl stated that there had been no prior disagreements between them and that she had no claims against the tutor.

The Bukhara City Court on Criminal Cases found A.A. guilty of committing the offense stipulated in Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (Sexual Harassment). He was sentenced to 3 days of administrative arrest.
