If a pedagogue scores 80 points, which qualification category will they receive?
In Uzbekistan, thresholds of 55, 60, 70, and 80 points have been established for the certification of educators, depending on their qualification category. In particular, a first-category educator must score at least 80 points to obtain the higher category, while a second-category teacher must score at least 70 points to obtain the first category.
Which qualification category does a pedagogue receive if they score 80 points?
According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 572 dated September 17, 2021, the results of the certification of pedagogical staff are determined based on the points they accumulate in two stages.
**Pedagogues of the highest qualification category**
If a pedagogue with the highest qualification category or holding the position of chief teacher scores 80 or more points based on the results of the two stages, they are considered to have passed the certification, and their highest qualification category is retained.
If the result is below 80 points, the pedagogue is deemed not to have passed the certification and is demoted to the first qualification category — the position of leading teacher. Pedagogues who participated in extraordinary certification are an exception.
**Pedagogues of the first qualification category**
A pedagogue with the first qualification category or holding the position of leading teacher:
- if they score 80 or more points, they are awarded the highest qualification category;
- if they score from 70 to 79 points, the first qualification category is retained;
- if they score less than 70 points, they are demoted to the second qualification category — the position of senior teacher.
**Pedagogues of the second qualification category**
A pedagogue with the second qualification category or holding the position of senior teacher:
- if they score 70 or more points, they are awarded the first qualification category;
- if they show a result from 60 to 69 points, the second qualification category is retained;
- if they score less than 60 points, they are demoted to the position of specialist — teacher with higher education.
**How many points are required for specialists?**
A pedagogue holding the position of specialist or teacher with higher education:
- if they score 60 or more points, they are awarded the second qualification category — the position of senior teacher;
- if they score from 55 to 59 points, the position of specialist is retained;
- if they show a result of less than 55 points, they are considered not to have passed the certification and unfit for the position of specialist.
