"I wanted to educate her." Father who killed his daughter with a shotgun for 400,000 soums in Kashkadarya sentenced to 5 years in prison

A father who shot and killed his 15-year-old daughter with a shotgun in the Kashkadarya region over a dispute over 400,000 soums was sentenced to 5 years in prison. The Daryo newspaper reported this, citing court documents.

It turned out that Q.J., born in 1982, served as a mechanic-driver in a tank battalion of a military unit in the Mubarak district from May 24, 2005 to March 11, 2025. After his contract was terminated, Q.J. returned to his rented house and began packing his belongings. On March 13, he went to the military unit to complete the paperwork for his deregistration, but did not have time to complete the work and returned to his rented house at around 8:00 p.m.

After eating with his family, he cut his son's hair and planned to go with him to his permanent residence in the Karshi district. While getting dressed, he counted the 3 million soums in his wallet and noticed that 400,000 soums were missing. At first, he asked his wife who had taken the money, but she said that she did not know about it.

At around 10:00 p.m., he called his minor daughter G. to him and asked if she had taken the money. The daughter admitted that she had taken the money without asking and apologized. However, Q.J. threw his wife and other children out of the room and ordered his son to bring a one-meter-long saw from the kitchen.

When the father hit his daughter in the hands with the saw, the wood split in two. After that, he said to his daughter, “Why are you stealing? You are embarrassing me,” and slapped her several times in the face and mouth.

The girl cried and said that she would never do such a thing again and begged her father not to beat her. But the man continued to hit her arms and legs with the broken part of the bullet. Hearing her daughter's screams, her mother and aunt entered the room and tried to stop the man. However, the father threw them out of the room again and continued to beat her daughter. When the girl turned her shoulder to avoid the blows, the bullet hit her back and shoulder blades several times.

When G. cried even louder, her mother entered the room a second time and begged her husband not to beat her. Only then did the man stop beating her daughter.

The mother took her child to the bathroom, washed her face and changed her clothes, and then took her to another room. About 10 minutes later, the girl felt unwell and lost consciousness. When the woman and her son told Q.J. about this, he tried to wake up his daughter, but G. was lying motionless. After that, he carried her to another room and laid her on a blanket.

Q.J. called 103 at 00:52, saying that her daughter was having a seizure and asked for medical help. Since the ambulance was late, he called a neighbor who works in the medical field at around 01:00. When the woman did not answer, he went to her house, woke her up and asked her to help her daughter.

The neighbor tried to provide first aid to the girl when the ambulance arrived. Doctors examined the minor girl and said that she had died about half an hour ago.

The ambulance workers said that the incident should be reported to the internal affairs bodies. The man told them to leave and that he would report it to the internal affairs bodies himself. About 15 minutes later, officers from the internal affairs and prosecutor's office arrived at the apartment.

They saw the bruises on the girl's body and called a doctor and a forensic expert. During the examination, it was found that she had injuries on both arms, legs, lip and the back of her chest.

Then the man admitted to the officers that he had hit his daughter and handed over a broken bullet, which was the murder weapon.

"I did not intend to kill her, I just wanted to educate her so that she would not commit another theft. I regret what I did in anger," Q.J. testified.

The forensic examination revealed that the deceased had closed brain and chest injuries, hemorrhage under the meninges, large hemorrhages in the lung tissue, intercostal muscles and subcutaneous areas.

The Koson District Court found Q.J. guilty of Article 104, Part 3, Subparagraph “d” of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm). He was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

Earlier, it was reported that a man in Tashkent was sentenced to 16 years in prison for beating his cohabiting woman to death. In Samarkand, a mother and stepfather were sentenced for causing the death of a 2-year-old child.
