A new place of attraction for citizens and tourists has appeared in Bishkek — the "Asman" park has begun operations in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, featuring modern recreation areas, amusement rides, and the tallest Ferris wheel in Central Asia. The height of the new structure is 92 meters, making it one of the most prominent points on the city skyline.
The park is located opposite the "Asanbay" microdistrict, on the site of the previously existing recreation area of the same name. The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Dzhunushaliev, participated in the opening ceremony. According to him, the volume of private investment in the project exceeded 1 billion soms. This turns "Asman" not just into another landscaped square, but into a major entertainment and recreational facility in the capital.
The main feature is the giant Ferris wheel. From a height of 92 meters, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Bishkek and the mountain ranges surrounding the city. The new attraction could become one of the recognizable visual landmarks of the capital and an additional point of attraction for domestic tourism.
At the same time, the entire territory will not be dedicated solely to entertainment. About 70% of the recreation area is planned to be allocated for green spaces. More than 500 trees and decorative plants have already been planted. Thus, a significant part of the space will retain its recreational function and will be suitable for walks and quiet relaxation.
Modern walking alleys, entertainment areas, and public spaces have been set up in "Asman". Elements of futuristic design are used in the landscaping of the territory, which should create a new visual image for the park.
For the rapidly growing Bishkek, the emergence of such an object is particularly important. The city is increasingly experiencing pressure on public spaces, while new large green zones appear much less frequently than residential and commercial properties.
Investments of more than 1 billion soms, a 92-meter Ferris wheel, hundreds of new trees, and an emphasis on greening make "Asman" one of the most large-scale projects of Bishkek's urban recreational infrastructure in recent years.
