A 340-meter skyscraper will be built in Dushanbe: the foundation of a unique complex has been laid in the capital

In Dushanbe, in the Shohmansur district, on the territory of the former "Green Bazaar," construction of a major multifunctional complex has begun. On September 3, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the capital's mayor, Rustam Emomali, took part in a solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the future architectural ensemble.
The project, spanning 29 hectares, includes 52 different facilities. The main architectural dominant will be five high-rise buildings, the central of which is named the "Dushanbe Tower." According to the press service of the head of state, this 77-story skyscraper will stand at a height of 340 meters.
The new center will be oriented toward business and entertainment activities: it will house modern offices, a hotel, shopping and entertainment areas, cafes, and restaurants. The cultural and sports zone will include a 1,000-seat concert hall, a cinema, and a gym, while a private park and a lake are planned for recreation.
In addition to commercial spaces, the complex will also include a large residential sector consisting of 42 buildings with 6,160 apartments. Special attention is paid to social facilities: a school for 1,200 students and a kindergarten for 500 children will be built for the residents. The total area of all structures will be 270,000 square meters. The implementation of the project will create more than 4,300 new jobs.
The construction is being carried out by TAS INTERNATIONAL GROUP. All work is expected to be completed within five years.
