Hyundai presented the new Bayon crossover
A fully updated version of the compact Hyundai Bayon crossover made its debut at the Paris Motor Show.
Representatives of the South Korean brand said that the model has been significantly modernized both externally and technically.
The main innovation is a radical redesign aimed at making the car more noticeable on the road. The Art of Steel concept, familiar from the latest generation of the Tucson model, was taken as the basis of the design. This is clearly visible in specific details: "hockey stick" shaped daytime running lights, a raised hood line, and large wheel arch extensions. The model name is now written in large letters on the tailgate, under the Hyundai badge.
For the first time, an N Line trim was also introduced for the Bayon: it includes 18-inch wheels, twin tailpipes, and inside the cabin, red stitched accents and metal pedals.
Due to exterior changes, the crossover looks visually larger than its predecessor. The sense of width is also reinforced technically: the wheelbase has been lengthened by 20 mm, reaching 2,600 mm.
Available options include twin 12.3-inch screens, surround-view cameras, ventilated seats, and a panoramic roof. The Digital Key 2 system (unlocking and starting the car via smartphone) and a Bose audio system are also offered. At the same time, a traditional block of physical buttons has been preserved on the cabin console.
The Bayon's engine consists of a 1.0-liter four-cylinder base T–GDI turbo engine producing 89 horsepower, which works with a 6-speed "manual" or a 7-speed "robotic" transmission.
The updated Bayon will be delivered to Hyundai dealers in Europe at the beginning of 2027.
